Biggs picture jasper, rough slab

Origin: Oregon

Characteristics: Biggs Picture Jasper, brown tones, rolling hills and some black dendrites.  Cut it for beautiful cab or keep it for a specimen.

This picture jasper was first found around 1960 at the bottom of a creek near Biggs Junction Oregon. More of the stone was found in the 1960s, particularly during road works in 1966  on U.S Route 97 when relocated through a canyon south of Biggs Junction. Road workers found the jasper in a rock cut, collected it and sold it to rock shops.  Not much is being found today.  It has become highly collectable and scarce.
