Origin: Santa Clara County, Calif.
Characteristics: Brown matrix with pink and red orbs, best polish all sides, small cab, ring size cab, rectangle shape, rare cabochon, finished back. High finish and low dome on both sides, either side could be the front. Sometimes searled line fractures. Rare material.
This cabochon was made using rare material no longer being mined . Found in Santa Clara County of Calif, the collecting area and the mine is closed, this variety of poppy jasper is very collectible and only exists in private collections. Probably named after the nearby Guadalupe River or trail.
Approx size: 19 x 17.5 x 6 mm, weight: 23.5 ct.
