Leopard Skin Jasper
Leopard Skin Jasper: This material was named for its lovely and colorful patterns. An orbicular jasper with reds, pinks, yellows, and browns. Its name was derived from the fact that it resembles the fur of a leopard. Called a jasper it's is more likely a type of Rhyolite, it's a hard material and takes a real bright polish.
It comes from Aquas Calientes, in Chihuahua, Mexico. It is considered a Shaman stone or a sacred stone to the Native Americans. Leopard Skin Jasper metaphysically is said to be a protective stone, especially in travel and dangerous situations.
