Sonora Sunrise / Sonora Sunset
These cabochons were made using Sonora Sunrise, containing one or more of this mix, Chrysocolla (green), Cuprite (red/orange), and Tenorite (black). Found around 5 years ago, this one from a Mexican Copper mine along the Northwest coast of Mexico in the Sonora State. This material is becoming like all good stuff, "very hard to get". The last I heard several years ago was that mine run material was only coming out of the mine and they were running out of that.
