Biggs picture jasper, rough slab, 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 5.5 mm, natural rare stone, for cab or specimen, (rs10681)
Biggs picture jasper, rough slab
Characteristics: Biggs Picture Jasper, brown tones, rolling hills and dendrites. This picture jasper was first found around 1960 at the bottom of a creek near Biggs Junction Oregon. More of the stone was found in the 1960s, particularly during road works in 1966 on U.S Route 97 when relocated through a canyon south of Biggs Junction. Road workers found the jasper in a rock cut, collected it and sold it to rock shops. Not much is being found today. It has become highly collectable and scarce.
This example shows the rolling hills it's known for and a lot of the black dendrites along the rolling hills. Cut it for a beautiful cab or keep it for a specimen. There are 2 open fractures that can be seen in the pictures, the picture between will make a supper cab.
