Origin: Mexico, Arizona, California. and New Mexico

Characteristics: a variety of chalcedony, semi-precious natural gemstone discovered so far only in certain areas of central and northern Mexico and the southwestern United States (New Mexico, Arizona and California).

This piece of agate doesn't have any of the fire color it's known for.  What it does have is it's beauty in the likeness of a cowboy boot.  Everyone I have showed this to has said it looks like a boot.  This wouldn't take much to put a nice finish on it and make a pendant a man or woman would love wearing. It is translucent and once it is polished it will glow much more than it does now.  There are some matrix still attached on the back of the stone, this could be removed if you wanted to.

Mohs scale hardness: 6 - 7

Approx size : Irregular: 1 3/4" x 3/4-1" x 7mm. Weight: 37g

I use a 24 mm coin and 10 mm squares in my pictures to help with image sizing.
