Peruvian Opal rough slab, 18 x 32 x 6.5 mm, natural, dark blue rectangle (rs7493)
Peruvian Opal rough slabOrigin: Peru.
Characteristics: Natural blue rough, rare material. This rectangle shaped rough will make a beautiful cab with very little work. Beautiful translucent blue color with brown matrix. I actually had this cabbed but I didn't like a little pit on the front so I sanded it out. Either side can be the front.
Approx size: pear shape 18 x 32 x 6.5 mm, Weight: 7.6g (38 ct)
First 2 pictures taken wet to bring out colors you may see after polishing. Remaining pictures taken dry to show imperfections if any. If it is transparent the picture is taken with backlighting. I use a full spectrum 45 w light bulb - photography photo CFL 5500K. It is a daylight balanced pure white light.
Slab was preformed by shaping the slab and sanding the front and back with 180 or 320 diamond grit, depends on the hardness.
I use a 24 mm coin and 10 mm squares in my pictures to help with image sizing.

Placing items in your cart: Just a heads up, anyone can still purchase items you may have in your cart, placing items in a cart doesn't protect them from being purchased by someone else.
Finishing your slabs: Want to finish your slabs or create a cab and want to know a little more about that, my internet website Designsbyshirl has several blog posts on how to select rough and create a cabochon.
